Pool Vacumes

Pool Vacumes - Heavy Duty Cleaning

Pool vacumes are used for cleaning swimming pools. Dirty swimming pools often carry fungi and bacteria that can affect swimmers adversely. Because of the number of people who use pools daily, cleaning pools is quite a challenge. The pool cleaners need to do the job quickly, during lunch hour or after the pool is closed for the day, so that it is ready for the next batch of swimmers.

Pool vacumes(vacuums) can be used both for in-ground or above-ground pools. These automated cleaners simply have to be placed in the pool and plugged to a power system. The cleaner can navigate itself as it disinfects the floors and steps of the pool. It also purifies the area bordering the pool. Remember that pool cleaners do not just have to work with minute dirt particles, but also larger fragments such as insects, leaves, feathers, etc.

Suction cleaners are the simplest types of pool vacumes(vacuum). They do not have a bag where the dirt or debris is collected. Instead, these cleaners filter the water and steer the debris towards the pool's filtration system. These are ideal for cleaning pools where larger fragments rarely collect.

However, if your pool has large fragments such as leaves, twigs, and insects, then it is better to invest in pool vacumes(vacuums) that have their own built in pumps. These cleaners come with their own bags that store debris. It reduces the pressure on the pool's filtration system.

Selecting Pool Vacumes

Enough day dreaming about those pool boy love scenarios, purchasing pool vacumes calls for care and good decision-making. A pool vacume works in a different environment as compared to the ordinary vacumes. It is surrounded by water, so it has to float and be able to work on the floor of the pool as well. It needs to clear not just the fine dust, but large fragments that can clog an ordinary cleaner.

It needs to be built with safety in mind, because water conducts electricity easily. It most also be able to navigate long distances in the pool, and be water proof and sturdy. Rust can easily set in if the pool vacumes(vacuum) do not have rust proof parts. The cleaner has to cover a wide area many times a day if you operate a commercial pool. Also, the area would have to be cleaned quickly.

Not all cleaners can filter water and scrub the floors and walls of the pool equally well. If your pool collects a lot of debris, you would need to invest in the high end cleaners that would collect the debris and scour the pool walls. These automatic cleaners are expensive, but are a good investment if you run a commercial establishment with a pool, or have a large outdoors pool in your lawn.

Keep these factors in mind when you go in for purchasing pool vacumes. If maintaining pools is a priority, you may need to invest in the more expensive models that clean large volumes of water as well as clear the slime and dirt off the walls and floors. For smaller pools with limited use, especially indoor pools with little contamination, the smaller pool vacumes(vacuums) with no bags or pumps of their own are preferable.
